I'd verify $200/ton. Scrap took a big drop this week. All is down. Cans, car bodies, copper and all. Everything took a hit. Some worse than others. We dropped $20/ton overnight and going to be $150/ton by next week.

A bit tough on the $8000 I'd say. I thnk he'd be lucky to get $4000. It is certainly a nice truck and looks like he's done thorough work, but these trucks just don't bring that kind of money. You shoulda seen this truck a guy I bought the wrecked 85 C20 from. He paid $6500 and this was immaculant and gorgeous no matter where you looked. It was a body off frame restoration 86 Long Bed C10 with 454 and Th400. Honestly, the nicest SB I've seen and touched in person. Sadly he had it less than 2 weeks and it was stolen. Even with full coverage insurance, and all the pic in the world to prove its condition, insurance only paid $4200 for the truck. He fought for more in court and lost cuz of value just not being there. He was sick, and I was pist for him. The crook was caught on cam even at his work. Took a whole 2 minutes 35 seconds, to walk across the parking lot, break in, pop the ignition and be gone with it. The guy was carrying a tool bag about the size of woman's make up bag. I'm sure that truck made it to Mexico in less than 24hours and the crook has never been identified or caught.

I was gonna say you cheap bastard. About any truck that runs is worth at least $1000 if its safe and sound. But then seen, ONLY needs a motor. I'd say you're about right on target. Kinda has potential, but looks more like a kids truck. A great project for auto shop.
