Bumper Pads/Inserts?

Sorry to post another thread about bumper fangs, but my other thread got derailed. So anyway, here’s my question. Anyone know where a man can obtain the bolt in type rubber insert pads with ridges? Talked to a lady from LMC that could barely speak Engrish and said they don’t offer them. If anyone knows where, I could get some pads would be greatly appreciated

Never seen em on any year square. Always been smooth surface. If those were actually offered on a square I believe they’re very limited.

Those are not GM bumper guards, they are aftermarket.

They might be from GEM manufacturing.

Thanks for the replies. Makes sense as to why I can’t locate these inserts. I’ve found several sets on EBay with pads attached. Cant find them for sale by themselves. I prefit them up on my sport bumper and they fit like a glove. Oh well guess I will be on the hunt for a correct set. Appreciate the help fellas.

I've got the bumper guards from my '77 K5 and I'm 99.99% sure they are original and GM. They have pads that bolt in, rather than snap in. The pads are a smooth finish, just like the common snap in style of pads. I've never paid attention to how the pads are fastened to my '78. Maybe I can remember to look when I get home this evening.

My '78 pads are snap-in, like all the later ones. But my '77 pads were definitely bolt-in. I don't recall the first year that bumper guards were available installed at the factory. Was it '77?

Well, I'll be damned. I just dug up a seat bracket thread and there's a picture that was photo bombed with my '77 bumper guards, lol. The pads had come off of the studs and the PO had attached them with roofing screws. They are in the upper left of the photo.
