Another really low buck idea: get a piece of 5/16 all thread. Cut it to about 1 1/2 inches long. Clean the case really well, lay the all thread on the remaining part of the case, smear a blob of JB Weld to lock it in place, use a nut on the all thread to hold the modulator in place.

I would at least want to make some scribes or something for jb weld to latch onto that is able to increase that surface area and maybe provide stronger side load support. im just Saying that because it seems like it could be a thing but i could be wrong

Old post but for future reference:

If you have an older style Transmission where the modulator is mounted at the rear of the transmission, you're in luck. Mine stripped at 5 pounds.

It doesn't go into the transmission. You can helicoil it if you want to do it right, but I simply just got a bolt with smaller threads and a nut to fit and passed it through the threads on the backside and put the nut on the other side that holds the fork on. Works like a charm!

In this case here, there was no hole to put threads or a bolt into. There was no material left at all. It just plain broke off and was gone.

There were no pictures here, but I know exactly what he was talking about because the very same thing happened to the th350 in a friend's truck several years ago.
