Ok so when i hit the brakes in my truck it pulls to the right. The brakes are all in good shape, no uneven wearing, and both the same thickness. Any ideas on what would cause the truck to pull to the right??

Does it pull right initially, then straighten up? Or constantly pulls to the right as long as you're braking?

Caliper slides, check them and lube them up first.

Could be the proportioning valve sticking/malfunctioning. Also, if the rotor thicknesses don't match, it'll do that too. That would be the easiest thing to check. If your right rotor or pad is thicker than the left, it will make it pull to the right.

Sometimes the inner rubber line of the flex line can partially rupture, and act like a check valve, either preventing fluid going to the caliper, or prevent pressure from being released from the caliper, so if it seems like you've checked everything and cant figure it out try changing the rubber line on the side that isn't grabbing. First thing I would do is try bleeding the brakes on the side that isn't grabbing and see if an air bubble comes out.

Ill check the the slides first. If that dont fix it ill try bleeding the line. Its things like this why i hate driving this thing on the roads. Almost took out a light pole with it.

If the interior of the hose is compromised, will there be any type of sign on the outside?

It may bulge, like a bubble can get on a tire, or weep just a little fluid at either end fitting, but sometimes you cant tell at all.

Might have a frozen caliper piston stuck inside the caliper.

99 percent of the time the hose looks fine, i usualy replace the caliper and hose as insurance that i do not get a come back at work

I had one sticking one time. I took a little eye glass screwdriver and peeled the rubber back around the piston and shot a lil WD-40 up in there. Did that at 4-5 places around the piston. It was still sticking. So I got pissed at a red light and just took on the damned brakes as hard as I could for about 15 seconds, and I felt a slight tap in the brake pedal. Haven't had a problem since!

Normally I would agree, but these days the reman calipers often fail early in life. I went through 4 pairs of calipers on my '88 Burb before I got a pair that didn't stick and/or leak. Now I just leave the calipers alone if I suspect a bad brake hose.

My guess is going to be a weak LEFT caliper. Right caliper is stopping and why you are being pulled to the right. The LEFT caliper is not functioning properly. Very well could be the internal seal has gone bad, and the brake fluid is going around the piston partially instead of pushing the piston. I don't have a problem with reman calipers as long as they are done right, but bucket is fight. Remans can fail, if they were over honed to clean out the cylinders making them a bit oversize and now the seal and piston don't fit as tight as OEM once did. Check RockAuto for caliper prices.
