best way to replace cabfloor support?

Hey guys im going to be replaceing the drivers side cabfloor support soon. and i wondering if someone can explain to me the best way to do this.?? the cab is on the truck, but im thinking i could jack it up and do it that way..but not sure.

Pretty much all you have to do is jack it up a little to take the weight off, take out the mount bolt and bushings, cut out the old one, weld in the new one. I usually drill a bunch of 3/8" holes in the flanges, about 1-1/2 to 2" apart. Then all you gotta do is fill them with weld to make something like a spot weld. Then caulk it up with body caulk (except the end out close to the rocker, so water can run out), then prime/paint. Put your bushing and bolt back in and you're set.
