Bed winch mount frame thoughts. No welding to the vehicle. Bolt to the 2 vertical square things on the front (sorry don't know what they are called), and bolt angled bars to bed bolts.

Only welding is on the winch frame itself. Can be removed. The tubing is 3/8" thick.

Main use would be to pull up deer from a decent grade utilizing a deer sled and good rope (~150' drag).

Thoughts? Better image in a minute, sorry.

If you welded studs (or hood pins) to the tops of the bed bolts, you could have your winch bracket literally drop in place using the bed bolts and stake pockets. You would just have those studs/pins to contend with when you don't have the winch in place.

you got me thinking about the floor bolts. Maybe just weld some thicker nuts to the front four and have a plate with the winch already mounted to it. Like you said, have to deal with the nuts sticking up.

Or even 4 nutserts on the lower ribs of the bed. Leave the bolts in when not in use with anti-seize. Would require drilling holes, but for a flush bed I could prolly deal with it.
