I'm trying to get the width of the "cap on a long bed square. The part where the stake pockets are. I can't measure mine as it's in the shop. I'm working on 2 racks that will go under my topper to hold a canoe etc. I have access to tons of scrap steel tubing etc, so want to build something like the picture. 2nd picture is how I'm going to make the uprights, welded to 1/8" thick plates. Can someone measure the top, and the lip that drops down for me please? I've made the drop of the plate 2" so I can bolt it to the inside lip
