Went to grease the front diff on my truck and noticed the lower balljoint is sitting damn near a 1/4 inch high, so is the upper. never seen this happen before, I think the square is parked until my D60 is ready.

I don't see how that could have happened on it's own, especially since the weight of the truck holds them in. Maybe they were never fully pressed into the knuckle by whoever installed them last?

Ive owned the truck for about 5 years and have greased it a few times, over the last couple months I would get a random clunk out of the front end, I packed the hubs and bearings 2 months ago and I'm pretty sure it wasnt like that then, something in the back of my mind has been telling me to ditch this front diff and get a D60, I was able to buy a 60 and its getting rebuilt with a Tru-Trac so I will park it for now
