I need to buy a coil to work with the small cap hei distributor I received with my tbi kit.can someone point me to a wiring diagram for the coil I need for this?thanks

I use a Blue Streak coil with my factory TBI. Sounds like you still have the same type of ignition system. Stock type coil should work.

If you are converting from a carburetor to this just follow the directions in your kit. An ignition wiring diagram for an 87-92 TBI motor would show you how the stock engines were wired.

I'm using an 87 system and unfortunately the kit doesn't have any instructions on wiring the coil.the good news is,I have an 87 gm repair manual on the way to me.thanks for the help guys.

The coil has two (interlocking) pigtails. One is just a short harness that connects to the 2-pin connector on the module. The other connector has a 12v wire and a TACH signal wire.
