Has anyone ever used one of those Edelbrock or Holley knockoff carbs?

I'm not going to buy one, just curious if anyone had used one.

I might not be familiar but, is that a special deal or does knock off reflect your quality estimation if edelbrock carbs in general?

You have to be careful as a lot of the knock off carbs are straight aluminum not an alloy, so they corrode and pit very quickly if left to sit especially dry for a while. Went thru this with a knock off 4 barrel on a friend's truck I ended up swapping on a spare 600 Eddy I had sitting on my shelf and smashed the knock off so he couldn't send it back for a 4th time.

Hmm. I wouldn't be able to run one of those, whether they work or not. It just seems "wrong" in my mind. It's essentially a thefted design.

Just buy a $100 one from marketplace or the opposite side of the junkyard they keep the LS's and party on.

I've used alot of Evil Energy fuel system and exhaust parts, I had no idea they had carbs too. Typical Chinese stuff though, straight up Holley rip off

Have 4 right now… manual choke Qjet, electric choke 2150 Holley (AMC/Dodge 727 compatible), electric choke 600cfm 1406, electric choke 650cfm AVS. All purchased as either “get it running now”, or place holders while the oem 85 C10 jet and 69 D100 Carter 2bbl are off for proper rebuilding.

I also have 3 real Holley 94 2bbl V8-60 Ford carbs to make 1 or 2 good carbs for a 230 flathead 6 Plymouth engine. Guess what? Most of the overhaul parts come in boxes that say Made in China… Same for the “upgrade kits” for Holley, Rochester, Weber, Carter and Solex (aircooled VW). Carb adaptors? American name, Chinese manufacture. Most modern Delco/GM Genuine is repacked Chinese. Moog? Chinese and Mexican.

At every local cruise night I see older American V8 powered customs with Chinese intakes, carbs, stainless steel headers, lowering parts, tires, etc. And they work fine.
