Hello all,

I am new to this forum and I look forward to learning as much as I can from your experiences. I found a 82 K20 regular cab long bed. The whole truck is primered and the cab is painted black. Everything is there as far as interior, lights, trim, ect. It comes with a 4 speed and a 205 tcase. He has a blown up 454 but I don't need that in the deal because I already have a motor. 14 bolt rear and either Dana 44 or 60 front.

I am trying to work out a trade with him for my AR15 and cash.

What cash value would you guys put on the set up described? And how much difference between that price with the Dana 60 to the Dana 44.

Thank you for your time and opinion,
Austin

I would ask for truck plus cash in the trade for ar15/scope in that case. The shape of interior and the body is a major decision point. If truck is nice, other than blown motor, right around even trade. If truck had a working motor, it might be worth around $3000-$4000. Some pictures and more details would be needed. If it is stock it has dana 44 or 10 bolt in the front(not sure wich year they switched to the 10 bolt)

He has all of the parts but it is sitting there as a bare body on the frame.
None of the lights are in, the interior is pretty much gutted and there is just a seat in the cab. He has all of the parts, he just never put it back together because he was waiting until it got painted. He wants to trade what he has including the dana 44 and minus the blown motor for my AR and 1000 cash. I would prefer to have the dana 60 but I don't know what the package is worth in cash value.

There is a lot of work left to do on the truck as far as assembly but everything there is in good shape. I am basically paying for the frame, good body and cab, 4 speed, 205 tcase, 14 bolt rear, and either the dana 44 or 60. The rest of it is there, just no motor.

I will try and attach a few pictures. It has an 8 inch lift and that will be the first thing to go if I purchase this truck.

What would you pay cash for what I described? Just take the AR out of the equation and give me a rough cash value.

Can't see the pics but do I understand that right? He wants the gun, scope, and $1000 of your money? For a disassembled roller?

Don't need the pics, run away from that deal quick like a bunny. Cash value on that is maybe $700-800 if the body isn't rusted.

Agreed. He's way too proud of what he's got.

Around $500 for roller body and $500-1000 for the rest of the parts at most

It sounded pretty outrageous to me too, but I figured I should check. Thank you guys for the input.
