Looking for a major braking upgrade and ease of parts availability going forward. Is there only 2 options for adding the GMT800 brakes to our trucks by using DSE or CPP modular spindles? Also, on the CPP spindle, are the wheel bearing hub assemblies easy to get over the counter at the parts store? Thanks in advance all!

As far as I'm aware, yes, those are your only options for using GMT800 brakes. There's a 3rd option for getting a unitized bearing (wilwood) but it's not designed for 800 brakes. I'm not sure if you're aware, but a big upgrade for GMT800 trucks is using 2019-up front calipers to gain true 4-piston brakes. That would be a pretty killer setup on a comparatively light square

What parts do I need to get to the 4 piston calipers and what size wheel? I just purchased 17" Torq-Thrust II's 8" wide. Did I jump too soon on the wheels?

Yep, gotta run a min of either an 18 or 19" wheel with the 2019-up brakes

If your just looking to upgrade calipers to something a bit better than stock Wilwood sells a set of dual piston calipers for GM trucks and cars. Cheaper than swapping out the full brake setup, uses stock pads and fits in place of the stock caliper. other than that, you'd have to swap to a full setup that would fit your wheels and that's a full kit that includes calipers, rotors, and spindles.

Mines a Wilwood 6 piston Dynalite setup on a Wilwood 2.5 drop spindle and a 17" wheel. A 15" might clear at least from the pic it looks like it might.

That looks like a good option. I'm not auto crossing, so that should do.

I have these on my truck now. They're a nice, noticeable upgrade over the stock calipers. Little Shop Manufacturing offers a budget rear disc kit that'll match for a decent price if you want rear discs.
