80s front bumper on 70's frame

I have a 74 frame under my 86 body.

made my 80s bumper fit on the 70's brackets but it does not fit right.


My question is how can i make my 80s bumper fit on this frame the right way, AND can i pls see pics of 70s bumpers on trucks with 80s bodys on them pls?

You've gotta notch the front of the frame. I did it to my old mudder. '74 frame '85 can/front clip and '95 stepside bed.

If you have all the mounting hardware for your 81+ bumper then what you want to do is cut the front rounded part off to make your 70s frame look like an 81+ frame. You will need to mount it just like you would on an 81+ frame. Ill try and find a pic for you.
