frame swap

my question is has anybody put a 2000 or newer frame under square body i have seen videos of cutting cab and putting on and wondering why. i have an 80 model and rolled my 2001 both short wb

I've seen it done both online and in person. IMHO, it looks goofy because the new frames always hang down so low. The only way I could live with it is if you channeled the body down over the frame to hide it but that would cause other issues. Better to just use what ya got or find another squarebody frame
