I'm redoing the front end at the moment and plan on getting a new grille and trim. I'm not really a fan of the big headlight bezel that cover the top and bottom light on the '79s. Is there anyway the ''78 headlight bezel would fit my 1979? The difference is that the '78 bezels just cover the top round light. I have a 1979 Chevy C10 Cheyenne.

Sure. I wish I had at least two round eye squares so I could give the nitty gritty details, as these questions pop up fairly often. I can tell you that you'd need the older style bezels, the turn signal lights, and the inserts that span the base of the grille. The older style inserts are louvered very obviously along the bottom of the grille, and the 1979-1980 w/ round beams has smaller, more subtle louvers. That same page in the LMC catalog where you got the pictures of the bezels may diagram the mounting hardware that you need, but it shouldn't be any different between the two styles.

The center trim piece is also bigger to match the '79 bezels. You can remove it to install the earlier trim, you will just have a couple exposed bolt holes left over. But yes, the bezels are a direct swap. The turn signal lenses are the same as previous years, just without the little trim piece on them that would be found on a Cheyenne or Silverado model.
