72 seat in a 73 and up truck?

Will a 72 seat work in a 87 truck? I have a buddy that has a perfect, and I mean absolutly perfect seat but it was in his 72. He has offered to sale it to me for $100. I have a steal if it will fit.........anyone know????? If it will unbolt and mount up to my tracks I can do that too...but need some insight if it is doable.

It won't work without mods. 67-72's had a flat floor, and squarebodies have raised floors in the rear to accomodate the gas tanks.

I say give it a try and post a write up on how you got it to work The key here is a CLEAN install so that people think it's stock!
