Over this winter, I am putting in a new radiator and antenna if nothing goes wrong. I am also going to try to find the cloth and vinyl to recover the seat and get the saddle blanket off there. I ordered some samples today to see if I can match it up.

Just painted some ralleys and mounted a set of tires on my 70 C10 project. Adapted a squarebody bench seat into it too so it is starting to look like a truck again. Thanks for the inspiration.

Got a new radiator in yesterday and swapped out the old rusty aftermarket antenna.

Is that antenna from LMC? If so, check to make sure the connection under the cowl end is solid. I bought one for Crusty Biscuit and had illusions of great radio reception. It sucked. When I removed it, I saw how loose the cable end was at the antenna base. Not the nut, the actual terminal that slipped on to the antenna base. We wondered why we couldn't get any radio stations, that was why.

It was brothers trucks. The antenna cord just pressed onto the bottom of the of the base. It’s been raining so I haven’t driven it to see how the tunes come in yet.

That's what it was with the antenna I mentioned. If you have crappy reception, check that connection.

I have a dilemma now. Not sure how to proceed on this seat. I found the fabric and vinyl but boy is it going to be expensive. A cover for my seat is going to run nearly the cost of an entire seat replacement from lmc. I will probably order it but sheesh it’s going to sting. I’ll be in it over $1000 by the time it’s done.

For that kinda cabbage, do you get the embossed scrollwork parts for the middle? Cause that's part of what makes those era seats cool and distinctive.

Yeah, they can reproduce that and it should be included at that price as far as I am aware.

There's a guy in FB market place that has them ready to go, you trade yours in. He might do a custom for you. I searched bench seat and found him. $400. He's out of Tazwel, TN.
