I checked the heads for flatness with a 24" straightedge then marked them with layout fluid to begin truing up the surface. Used a flat piece of marble, with sandpaper held onto it with spray adhesive. WD-40 was the lubricant of choice.

I ordered this lift plate off Amazon. Makes lifting and moving the blick around alot easier. It also keeps the valley area covered. Highly recommended.

Pistons that I will be cleaning, re-ringing and putting back in the block. Worn out cam bearings that i'll be replacing.

Took the block outside to pressure wash and degrease everything.

Cylinders after I hit them with the flex hone. New camshaft bearings in place. New main bearings (standard size) in place.
