There were definitely V8/three on the tree trucks, but they do seem to be uncommon. A while back I looked at buying a '76 stepside that was an original 350/three speed truck. Although the column shifter had been replaced with a floor shifter.
Now we just have to decide what to do with this steering column. We can send it off and have it rebuilt, try and rebuild it ourselves, or simply keep a big screw driver in the glove box.
