i have a 1986 chevy k-10 that i want to put some seats out of a 2008 chevy truck. they are the buckets with the fold down console. is the only way these will fit is to cut the floor board? if anyone has pictures of some that has been done without cutting the floorboard i would appreciate it.. thank you.

They will sit too high if you don't cut the floor.

I took off the new seat brackets and used a set off an older truck, almost bolted right in... Just my .02 before you cut the floor lol

it can be fine without Cutting three floor. but the seats will suit 6 or so inches higher if that makes a difference. The biggest concern is the seat yup steering wheel distance. if your not wanting to cut the floor make sure to get the electric seats and a tilt column. that will do just fine. you will still need a welder and metal stock for mounting the seat brackets.

^^^and this is why I ended up cutting my floor. Do it right and nobody will know you've modded anything. Every one who sees my seats always asks if they just bolted into and it's not until I start pointing things out that they realize what's been done

I found seat height around 15-16" feels good in our trucks. I'm 5'10 and anything lower feels odd and anything higher just feels like your sitting too high.
