Man, just for short runs down the road, they're so noisy lol.

Not to mention they got some cracks in them....
Idk about all that lol

Bah, that's just noise! Those things have a good sturdy carcass, I wouldn't worry too much about cracks.

Well than.....

I was taking my youngest little girl on a hell ride (she's got no fear), and at one point I was just doing doughnuts in the field and afterwards something started popping in the rear end....
Now the 14 bolt whines.
That was just continuous doughnuts in the field
Piece of ****.

And people why I went 5 tons in the k5 instead of 2.5 tons.

Would've thought the driveshaft that's hanging on by 1/2 the splines would've quit....

Nope.

That 4.3 ain't no ***** motor.

I had a feeling 2.5 tons was the way to go.

If the 14 bolt grenades, I got a spare 14 bolt I can tear down and drop in.

I haven't driven them in pavement yet, so no.

I've just been riding offroad thru dry dirt, mud, woods etc.

So, I gotta ask... is there lube in the rear axle? Lol. I've only seen one 14 bolt get injured, and it was from a lack of lube.

I know you're talented and all, but it takes a lot of talent to kill a 14ff :)

Or should I say, the first ride, It started popping.

The second ride, it's just whining now.

A 39.5 tall, 15 wide tire being cutout like tractor tires continously being spun does put alot of stress on the axle in dry dirt.

But it's hard to believe an axle that's so well supported bearing wise is ****** up.

Whenever I find a little time, I'm popping the cover to investigate what's going on in the rear axle.
Id be interested to know what's causing it to whine and pop.

There's some flex action.
Not terrible for 4" full size lift springs.

I find in situations like that, (at least in snow) if i pump the brakes off n on while gassing it seems to grab and pull me out.
