I thought I wanted a toy.. but now I realize Im at college and can never drive it and hate having it sit. 1993 Chevy Silverado lifted 12 inches sitting on 38.5in boggers. Freshly rebuilt 355 and TH400 tranny. One ton axles, 14 bolt rear and Dana 44 front 4.10 gears. Has a fuel cell. Really is a race ready mud truck. I have the title and its tagged and insured now. No rust! Current inspection. Let me know if interested. Id be interested in a trade for a daily driver. Asking 7000 negotiable. Send me an offer!

good looking truck but I don't think 1 tons used a 44 should be a 60 if anything, maybe it's just a 3/4 ton front I know they used 44's.

Somebody else can correct me if I'm wrong though.

Any one ton I've ever seen is 14 Bolt rear and Dana 60 front,. 3/4 tons 14 bolt rear with a 10 bolt front.

It looks like a large pumpkin, but I swear I see ball joints and a Chevy 10bolt/D44 steering knuckle (old steering studs sticking up). I'll guess it's a Ford D44 with Chevy outers on it.

Dana 44 "HD" from F250's run flat top knuckles. There would be studs on drivers side as well. Ran one on my 99 SAS silverado.

Really?! Does the knuckle place the steering arm in the correct Chevy location? Didn't the Ford use crossover type steering?

Not all, no. My highboy had hydro assist steering. Looked just like this one.

Ah, I see. I knew the highboys had that ancient power steering setup, but I didn't know it was a front-rear setup. Probably one of the last to use that style power steering, along with the Corvette. Although I could be very wrong about that too.
