I am trying to identify a hot wire coming out of the harness that went to the 2 smog pumps on my K20. Most of the smog components were already removed when I got this truck, but I have a few dangling wires I am trying to clean up. looks to be white/black stripe and it is long enough to run just shy of the back of the alternator. Measures about 14v when running. Already have a hot wire to choke. Any ideas?

I don't recall what that wire would have been for, although that is the style of connector that would normally be used for the choke (and other things).

Does it have power whenever the ignition is on, or does the engine have to be running?
