1980 to 82 front clip swap

I have a 1982 Chevy 1/2 ton 4wd with front end damage I just located a 1980 front clip in perfect shape cheap. I was looking for a early square body when I bought this truck. So will this work looks like if I swap out both fenders the hood, the core support and remove the cowling on my cab it might work anybody attempted this ? or am I in for a real headache
