I'm having trouble find a radio patch panel for a 1978 k10. The previous owner cut the radio panel way to big for a newer radio. So I either need a patch panel or a whole new lower dash. My local junkyards have squarebodys but they all been gutted already. If someone could help me find what I need. Thank you

I am not sure I have ever seen one of those? I guess your going to have to hack out an intact dash and weld into yours?

There is someone selling those dash sections for $65 on marketplace and all they are is chunks cut out of an old cab with a death wheel.

I made my own patch panel using some sheet metal I got from Home Depot. It took trial and error to get the holes right, but I bought a new dash gauge bezel off eBay and used that as a template. It was time consuming, but not really that difficult. Once you get the dash bezel back in place you can’t even see the patched metal behind it.

I swear I saw a patch panel for sale in one of the many catalogs I have from 3rd party suppliers, but can't find the catalog. Is my memory getting worse than DW tells me it has?

this is a picture I found online but almost the entire radio section is cut out. From the top screw bracket to the crease on the metal.

Think 4" grinder. Basically any cut-off wheel can disintegrate and become a death wheel. Always best to wear eye protection, and better yet, a full face shield.

I had the same problem. Fortunately I have a parts truck with the same color dash. So the dash from the parts truck was sliced and spliced into the build truck. A few pop rivets and once it was all back together you can't even tell it was cut.
