1 ton transmission cross member

i am looking for a 1 ton 4x4 transmission cross member for the early 2 mount style mounts i think 84 and down

it is almost flat the 1/2 and 3/4 ton curves up at the ends

Hmmm, that give me an idea. I think I might need one of those too. I could use a 1 ton crossmember in my K10/K20 and be able to use the short height adapter intead of the tall. I'm sure you need this crossmember and the tall adapter..

gives me an idea too on my k1500 SAS, that's basically flat same as my gmt400 one, but needs to be wider and would be easy to make wider.

HHHHMMMMmmmm,that gives Me an idea,Watch for different crossmembers when out scrapping.never know which mount or cross member Yuh might needs.:smokin::popcorn::happy175:

i searched 3 local junk yards and only found 1

i searched 3 local junk yards and only found 1

I think you got lucky to find that one. Another ellusive crossmember to keep an eye out for is the W member. Seems alot of those get damaged. When you go to replace it, it's hard to find. Common in the 700r4/NP208 1/2 and maybe 3/4 Trucks.

dad's 86 had a 700r4 208 combo and had only the single hump deal.

Yeah, the double hump ones are harder to find. I've found many of the single humps in Burbs. The singles are also wider than the double, so may interchange, but if you do, you're going to have to drill a hole on each frame rail for the size difference.
