Do shorty headers require replacing the rest of the exhaust, or can I keep a 2-->1 stock exhaust and use headers. Its for a specific situation, so Im not asking opinion about the setup, just if it will all fit together correctly. '83 C30
Replacing my whole exhaust, and when i was removing the Y pipe a bolt broke in half. Its the bolt on the drivers side closest to the engine. Should I try to get that thing out or just replace the manifold?
We don't have any of that nonsense fortunately. When I register the truck for the first time, I don't even have to take it to the DMV. We have no exhaust shops, but we do have that! ;-)
It's a good thought, but they would be way too close to the frame. I guess I could make it work with minimal fab work if I can't find the correct ones.
Do you have hubcaps? I had the same sounds once and it was a rock in my hubcap. Would go away as soon as the wheel was spinning fast enough for centrifugal force to hold it in place.
Can anyone help with out with the valve cover bolt size on an '83 5.7L? I got some load spreaders in the mail and they didn't come with bolts (really??) so it will get my truck on the road a day sooner if I can find out the size. Thanks in advance.
