    I know this isn't a big block chevy forum but I want y'alls opinion. There is a 454 I'm looking at for my truck. It's a well built 454. Just rebuilt, 781 heads, good new flat top pistons, comp cam, comp cam hardware. Hasnt been run. A good engine. Just ballpark. Thanks!

    Thanks for the replies everyone. I went with LMC panels and hardware. The hardware looks good. I also got new levers for doors and the bezel trim that goes over handle/lever. The panels themselves are a hard plastic that should last. None of the holes for trim across top or pull strap are there...

    I'm going insane trying to find the right replacement belt for my alternator. It's all wrong from the previous owner. I need a 6 rib poly belt about 51" long to go crank-water pump-alternator. I have a late 80s 454 that has had the AIR pump removed. Has anyone run in to this problem? TIA.

    What headers have you had your eye on? My truck originally had a 305 in it. The guy I bought it from dropped a 454 in it. I'm wondering about clearance issues since the 454 wasn't an option for my truck originally.

    I need a complete exhaust system done on my 85 LWB from the manifolds back. Dual exhaust. Nothing crazy, just simple. I've been quoted in the $750-950 range. Seems like a lot to me. What did your last full exhaust system cost?
