What have you done to your square lately??

Slapped in ORD's heavy duty grease-able shackles today.....pics will be posted in the build thread tomorrow.....cause the front springs was hitting the frame.....thought this was the cause of a new noise....nope. The metal screeching/banshee sounding noise is still there. No pattern to it...

    Wondering what I have?

Ahem...hehe....since when does a lift of any kind give you more ground clearance from the bottom of your diffs housings when the lift is all above the axles? Tires are whats going to get him more diff clearance from the ground. The 38s will require some fender trimming, more than likely...

Passenger side axle shaft seal sprung a leak today (D60). Looks like I get to spend Saturday tearing my axle apart. Anyone have any good advice to make this easier? Experience do's and dont's? Thanks in advance.

New H1 24 bolt wheels for the K5

The 24 bolt two piece is bead locked by that front portion and the run flat, like you said, pinches the rear bead portion double bead locking the tire. Take it apart and have a look.

New H1 24 bolt wheels for the K5

I don't know about running dually front hubs. Sounds legit in logic terms. Also seems like alot of work and money to not get new rims or re-center. Yes, at a minimum, if you can, remove the run flats, it will balance much easier and will be lighter. Yeah, I wasn't suggesting you re-center...

New H1 24 bolt wheels for the K5

Yes and no. It bead locks the back side of the rim. The front is locked by the ump-teen bolts on the front side plate. Military bead locks are not meant for civilian use....as mentioned before. They make the tires much heavier and next to impossible to balance properly. Most re-center kits come...

New H1 24 bolt wheels for the K5

Yes, absolutely they will need spacers as is. Couple options if I may.... 1. Leave as is, must have spacers. Try to get them as balanced as possible or they will run like poo on the road. 2. They are heavy as sh*t as is. Another option is to get them re-centered. Lighten the weight and you...

What are your emmissions testing laws in your state?

Here in middle NC its a visual inspection but thanks to employment with Uncle Sam, I retain residency in TN where there is no emissions or inspection (at least not in the County I call home) plus two of my vehicles have permanent plates so no registration or anything :-)
