Those look similar to the studs used on the spoilers and flares on the F-body cars. Makes sense. I have a C&C dually with a flatbed, the dually pickups that I've seen the bed is butchered from the General to make those humps work.

HS

Several manufacturers have used them in various composite parts. Some larger, some smaller. Junkyard shopping is the best place to find them.

This is probably the best view of how they work. My fenders were trashed and I took a sawzall to it before unbolting them. Studs thread into the flare, then the flare gets bolted to the fender. Mounting options depend largely on what flare you are planning on using.
Was there anything else for the inner fender/ just the fibreglass exterior dually flares? Did gm not make anything?? @bucket

There's a filler piece that connects the cut open bedside to the wheel housing. It can be seen in the picture that Tonimus posted:

Mine are some type of plastic/fiberglass composite. When I got the truck many years ago, they looked rather recent and iirc, one had the remains of a decal on it. That leads me to believe that they were at least available 20 years ago. Have no idea about now.

You won't find a new / repro one. I may have one accessible in the barn - I'll have a look tomorrow and take some pics if I do. Best bet is to fab one up from folded sheet metal. It will do the same job.

Do you have the cast fender trims ? - they're unicorn droppings also. Have thought about repro-ing them if there was any interest.

I do not have the cast fender trims on mine, they are like inner fender liners for sure. Would really appreciate some up close pics sir!

Here you go - I believe this is what you are looking for. OEM are a kind of moulded nylon type plastic. There is a part number cast in 73-c-68496. They finish off the internal lip of the factory hackery when GM cut a regular styleside to fit the fibre dually fender. I haven't seen them reproduced, however I would think relatively easy from some sheet metal, folding and welding. A cardboard template would get you started.
You will notice a slight lip moulded into the inside, however I don't think that is the end of the world to have to reproduce.

Apologies - the fender "liners" ( above ) are plastic moulded / sheet. The "fender trims" are cast pot metal ( Mazak - a zinc alloy ) on the outside, that finish off the external belt moulding on the earlier models. Like everything they got dropped over time ( no doubt to improve the bottom line .. ). Typically polished, with either a black or yellow painted infill. I believe the yellow was 1 year only ( 77 ? ), (which must have been a big import year over here as almost all wrecked squares seem to have this yellow trim ).Here is an example below.
Again not reproduced as far as I know. However I "know a guy" that possibly might be convinced to reproduce them in a far better cast brass base that could be chromed, if there was interest.

My dually originally had that trim on it. It was all removed when the 2nd owner had it poorly repainted. My hunch says all that trim went into the trash.
