We may call these trucks squarebodies, but I've heard that they were originally called "The Rounded Line"
Yep, '47-55 was Advanced Design, '55-59 was Task Force, '60-66 was just C/K (1st gen), '67-72 was Action Line, '73-87 was Rounded Line, then they started the GMT designations after that.

73-87 Chevy/GMC C/K trucks in 1/2 3/4 and 1 ton flavors were called the "Rounded Line" by GM due to their rounded cab but everybody calls them Square body because the rest of the truck is a brick.

What years are the OBS (original body style) trucks or are these the GMT trucks?

OBS = GMT400

The GMT400 immediately followed the squares.

GMT800 started in 1999 model year.

The OBS trucks are generally considered to be the '88-'98, with carryover models till the early Aughts, GMT 400 trucks. Like these examples in my driveway.....

Our "squarebody" trucks really aren't that square. Now, those '04+ F150's on the other hand... them sumbitches are square.

I think those stylists started on the clay model one day, then took an early lunch, got drunk and never came back to finish it. Then a higher up walked into the styling room and said "That's genius! We will save so much time and money on engineering the stamping dies!" Lol.
