He ordered that way. He complained because the hood was supposed to be tan with the side striped & it didn't come that way. I had it painted for him over 20 years ago & had the hood tan for him. Scottsdale with AC & tilt, manual trans & 350 engine. Rubber floor & crank windows but does have headliner & trim. Kinda weird but very functional for work truck. Dad loved it & would never sell.

I never could figure out why mine didnt have the 2 tone roof like that. Mines basically loaded silverado.
Also did his have trim or did you delete it at repaint?

Dad's was deluxe 2-tone & had the upper & lower molding. I have those to put back on it. He wanted the newer plastic junk instead of the metal "racetrack" put on. Here it is in the early 80's.

I think they kinda look goofy two tone without the trim.

I have a crew cab. They're enormous. i love mine haha.
Yes, try driving a CCLB in Houston! I like the CCSB for doing that (it's big enough lol!). Amazing how much more manageable and manueverable not having the 18" in the middle, makes it....

I don’t run around in Houston but I wish my MegaCab had an 8’ bed. IMO, short beds don’t look proportionate to 4 door cabs.

I agree! The 6 1/2' bed looks "just right"...the 8' bed is definitely a longboy, and any of the shorter "new truck" beds just don't look good.
