It was in the back when I got home with the truck. I knew the spare tire and extra door were going to be there. PO had kept them in a shed, when I looked at the truck.

I called the PO and he said he got it that way when he bought it.
That's what I was thinking but it is slightly too small to fit over the tank, and the bolt holes don't quite line up.

I found a thread on here that says it is a fuel tank skid plate. And the pics mount up. Now to figure out what to do with it. Thanks everyone.

Do I install it, or, do I try and sell it. Looks like a royal pain to install, and If I am not going to use it, I dont need to be toting it 3000+ miles cross country.
