Picked up a ‘77 bed to replace the original on my ‘78.
Its a great piece with only some rust on the left side, way less damage than mine.

Got it on FB Marketplace, the seller was a great older guy, we had a lot in common.

Yeah I did my research on the paint to make sure it was mixed right had good results I always wanted something with flames and this was just something different and fun to do from now on I'm ditching the rattlecan paint jobs as they just don't come out near as good have a few other projects need paint and have some cool paint jobs some been thinking about for 5+ years it was good practice I'm confident I can get a very good paint job on my next one  :peace:

Got most of the rear harnesses sorted away. Finished the exhaust. Completed the towing hitch relocation. REGARDLESS truck height, we must maintain as much payload as possible. Highly satisfied with the work on this rig as of late; been on a roll.

The Jimmy as well; undercarriage and interior floor is all squared away. Finished the custom tunnel cover install with boots and trim. Got all of the parts for the motor build, will be underway any time now. . . stay tuned.

You did a nice job on the shape of the flames, IMHO. They do scream “Hot Wheels “, especially with the monster green color. I’ve seen a lot of poorly executed flames, this ain’t one of them.

yeah, I think most, if not all of the really bad potholes were west of Flagstaff. They happened this past winter in early 2023.
My wife had a knee revision in Flagstaff June 27th but for a couple of months before we were driving I-17 from Cottonwood to Flagstaff for pre op appointments and 17 South was really bad as they were working on it. People including trucks were driving on the right shoulder to avoid the huge craters in the lanes. Our Crown Vic took a hell of a beating for awhile. Glad I wasn't in my 84. Front end would probably be laying in the median, lol

Added a Tach for tuning mostly. Not exactly where I wanted it but very visible and works fine.

Just about where I put mine only to the left more. Bad idea. I can't see it. Looked great as I was leaning over installing it though, lol

Sweet, I have a gravity sprayer in a box under my work bench. Can't say how many years it's been there. Assume that's what you used?

Going to replace all the steel brake lines on my 84 Sierra 2500 daily driver. I cant get the front rubber line off as it's pretty well stuck so might as well replace it all. Got all 4 pieces at inlinetube.com for under $100

Didn't cheap on the important stuff!
Right, I'm the same way. Definitely stay away from o'rings (anything rubber) and ch steal.
I have all my Lifetime Warranty, Sears Craftsman sockets and ratchets my Dad slowly bought for me over Christmas's too, lol.
