If it burns out it's cool in my book :rockit:

Like to see a video of that. Get a new phone! Lol

I got a 91 s10 2.3l 5 speed for graduation. I loved that truck! It ran like a champ too. I drove it 13 hours straight back to Texas from Illinois averaged about 80 with no problem at all.

See if I can find a pic of it.
Only thing mine needs is a posi! My first s10 was an 87' reg cab 2wd short box with a 2.5L 4tec and it was a turd!!! Hence my email add., tanturd87 lol

I was shaking my head at all the freakin' wiring one of the owners of my square put into it, toggle switches all wired everywhere, fricken brake controller with a steel line, and about an 8 foot long choke cable looking thing mounted under dash. What a mess. Ripped all the crap out, but now the original wiring has been tapped into enough I don't know WTF is what?

So, get this....there is a fire extinguisher bracket under the hood, and that stupid choke cable thingy....then I realize why, there is a "Holley Carb" sticker on one window :anitoof: Sorry for those of you that like Holley's, I don't. Even though I ran one on my big block and on my flathead.

AND I am finally finding parts for this truck. I will be picking up another truck for parts soon, then I should have all I need.

Dam, I can't wait to get this off the jack stands and on the road.....

Swapped the T-case skid plate from the Suburban carcass onto the pickup. Just in case I,... ahem,... run across?.... any rioters.

Don't mind the patina. I was going to blast it and paint it, but figured I'd save that for when we do the major reconstructive surgery.

S-10??
I can play that game.
My first vehicle was a 1982 GMC S-15.
It started life as a fully loaded old feller truck.
I drove the piss out of that little 2.8l V-6.
This was the last photo of it before I sold it to the neighbor with the other truck in the photo.

The orange and white one was picked up for $125.
It had been buried in sticker bushes for many years before the owner had to clean up his property.
I sold them both for $700 and the neighbor sold the S-15 and salvaged the good parts off the '72.

You can also see the nose of my first square in there.
It was a loaded '79 that got hit by a Oregon Department Of Transportation Safety vehicle going straight in a turn only lane. That tweeked the cab and it was sold.

You should have given that S-15 the lingenfelter treatment! http://www.superchevy.com/how-to/83863-chevrolet-stealth-s15-drag-racer

I remember the hot rod supercar shootout one year where he used it to tow his corvette to the shootout. The vette broke down and hotrod magazine let him enter the S-15 instead, I'm pretty sure it won the supercar shootout that year.

Really good shape too

Cut carpet around mounting hole and installed driver side one between the center console and seat.

Ohhhh as a younger man with some disposable income from my $8/HR job, I purchased a 1966 283 and a 1969 Turbo 350 for the truck.
I also have the Jags That Run book that was the bible back then to make it all happen.
Long before it was mainstream.

But then my Dad intervened and presented me with the red and silver '79 square body.
And after that I no longer needed a V-8 S-15 as I had a V-8 in the square.
I still have the 283 though....
