I've used Rustoleum on the boat and trailer. When I do the swap, I'll brush it on the front while I've got the front clip off.

Finishing off this, I've got a set of 3/8th bolts holding it in place and magnets are on for holding it up

Turned out good. Noone yet to try a 40 gallon Burb Tank. I've got a 40 gallon Burb tank. Just seems to be tight to me. It would be so close to the rear axle, I just don't think I'd like it. Not to mention so close to the bumper too. Wouldn't be good in a rear end collision I don't think.

That's why I made my hitch the way I did to act as a tank guard too.

Installed new upper and lower radiator hoses...swapped the rubber hoses for some stainless steel. My local hot rod shop says each hose adds an additional 10 h.p.

got the bed back on by myself. Drilled another hole in the extension arm on the lift to give me more reach.

That's a shortbed? I never had a problem with my engine hoist picking up a longbed off of a truck. I used the center stake pockets to hook a chain and done.

Looks to be the same as mine too. Could have been in his rigging of the straps. For my long bed, I used the center stake pocket bolt holes under the bed rail. Just used a chain and put the long bed bolts through the holes with the chain on the bolts. That way I knew it was center and balanced. It was nice cuz if you have a bumper on, then you could rock and tip the bed to get up and over the bumper too and not need to remove it.

I just nailed 2 pieces of 2x4 together and put it under the rails and lifted it up, same with the cab. Guess a long bed I'd use the center stake pockets too.

I have not got one thing done to My square in the last couple of years.
I got busy trying to keep other stuff from falling apart in the house, the yard, the camper and with My new to Me 2000 K3500, 6.5 diesel.
Rebuilt a shed and added a concrete floor. Gave te 6.5 a complete tune up. Fuel mileage went from 15 to 17.5 to the gallon. Then the old 1972 homemade camper was falling apart with lots of rotten timbers and wall paneling. I am nearly through with that.
The BIL from denver brought over His 01 Passat, many oil leaks and a timing belt job. Many parts orders and still waiting for parts on that. He has now left to go back to Denver while We are waiting for more parts that will be in next Monday.
A pic of the camper as it now sets outside.
