My other project is a 1951 gmc 3/4T long box pick up switched over to a s10 frame. Well I've never done motor mounts before but I need ones for a SBC 350. My question is....is there any other ways to get he mount bolts off besides what someone else did by cutting into the sub frame?

I would cut the head of the bolt off, and look into a different way to mount the motor mount. Can you get your hand up in the hole? If so I would get some grade 8 bolts, put them up threw the frame and weld them to the frame. That way all you have to do is set the motor mount on the studs sticking up, put you nuts on and tighten them down.
