Hey guys I have a dim DS upper headlight. This is on an 87 K5 Blazer with dual headlights. It also has the square park lights behind the grille which I just deleted for a new grille that I wasn’t able to cleanly rig up the lights to. Unfortunately I wasnt able to determine if this was a cause or effect of deleting the park lights. Hoping it was just a ground,
Wondering if someone could direct me on where to start, where the ground is located, etc. Thanks guys

Usually when a sealed beam headlight is dim, it's just a dirty connection in the connector itself. Especially if it's a connection that has not been disturbed for a long time and you just messed with it (like installing a new light). If you wiggle the plug around while the light is on, you may find that the light gets bright again.

Get a basic cheap voltmeter, and compare the voltage at the terminals inside the connector feeding each headlight. If it’s different, you have a power or ground lead to fix. If it’s the same, you need to clean the terminals on the headlight, or replace the headlight.

You can also buy a spray can of DeOxit and use it to clean up all the metal connections that are oxidized.
