Got my carpet, set covers and several fluid lines from LMC yesterday. Hate the seat cover, it's too light a tan. Going by SMS in Canby Or. to see if they have the correct fabric to do it right. The carpet they sent me was light tan cut pile, which is incorrect for a '73....found out they don't even carry loop carpet. Ordered another set of carpet from Summit today, correct loop, but much darker than original, but it actually will match up to my woodgrain door panels, so I'll live with that. Test fitted the high hump in the cab, will cut the floor and finisht that up tomorrow. It does have a very small heater core leak, so I'll have to rip all that out and replace it. Big chore, but it's the right time to getter done. .... check out the original storage tray behind the seat. Kinda proud of that.

We haven't been to that swap meet since about '95/96.... Mom and I changed jobs and we didn't have that much time off anymore. It's a 12 hour drive one way from Houston.... Last time we were in Oklahoma at all was another family reunion in summer 2011. Rented a new Charger for the long weekend and it was a blast, but we took two days each way to get there and back home.
It's time for another vacation this time rent a corvette and try not to get a ticket on the way there!!

Too late for the wife's moisturizer, huh.

On edit - Too bad that wouldn't work. Is there something we could slather on a new dash to avoid this?

Started the disassembly of the NP203... got some goodies for it. I'm going to fab up a twin stick for it. Got the polyurethane transmission mounts. The chain has some slack in it. I don't know how much is supposed to be in it. Going to need another skull...lol

More pics... it's all apart. (Mostly) Still have to disassemble the front section. Gave everything a diesel bath. Whipped down the ceter section and rear tail housing with cleaner. Those part will be heading to the sand blaster to prepare for powder coating. Putting everything on a clean surface. All the internal parts look good. No major rust, no pitting, all the teeth look nice and square.
