I hooked up the heater hoses to the heater core of the '77 camo truck. I had bypassed the heater core last summer so not as much heat would come into the cab during our August trip. I also looked into why the blower motor doesn't move much air. Apparently the fan runs on low, no matter where the blower switch is positioned. I'll look into that another day. A little heat is way better than no heat.

I also went out to my '77 K5 and discovered my minty original GM dash pad is cracked now. Bummer.

True, but those cracks weren't there just a few weeks ago.
Too late for the wife's moisturizer, huh.

On edit - Too bad that wouldn't work. Is there something we could slather on a new dash to avoid this?

Because the weather has turned, I did nothing to either square.

I did spend some time trying to get these upper doors onto my side by side, took 5 months for them to arrive, will probably take me five months to assemble lol. And some time on a minor office remodeling at home.

Nothing exciting - the passenger side brake light bulb bit the dust sometime between Friday and this morning. No idea when as I watch for lights/signals in the dark. At any rate, out with the old 1157 and in with a 2357. It will work but it a bit brighter. I just grabbed one that had dual filaments and put it in looking up P/N's later. Oops ... :anitoof:

The original color of that pad is actually blue. It came from a low mile parts truck back around '08. I painted it in SEM Portola Red (Iirc) and I think that coating of SEM actually helped protect it all these years. The pad actually still feels soft and pliable too.

I’m waiting for the day I find the same on the 77. As of now the original pad is nearly perfect with one small crack coming off the speaker perfs, which I drilled a stopper hole in front of (idk whether it will help).
I’d love to dye it as it’s faded yet still pliable but no way I’m removing it just for that! lol.

This company also makes a superfood non dairy creamer that we carry at my Costco. I think it's a good brand. Says they're certified USDA organic, vegan, gluten free, non GMO verified, and Kosher (the circled U). We also have ready to drink teas and sodas from other brands that have the lion's mane herbs in them.
