2.56!? Why stop there and not put a 7.5 ten bolt in with 2.14 gears

Blazer has 33” tires and 700r4 behind a pretty hot 385 small block, the 14 bolt semi floater rear I built for it I setup with 3.73s. Good combo for the blazer.

Yeah, ya gotta have lower gears with big tires.

You sure you didn't mean to type 4.56? 2.56 is a super tall highway gear...
I like driving my rigs. I see a lot of people modifying theirs as though they are going to war. Racing, towing huge loads, big engines... all expensive stuff for hard use... and then they park it in the garage and only go to a car show once in awhile. 2.56 gears get better milage and in a vehicle that's a driver they are all I'd need.

If that's what you like, more power to ya. I've only driven 1 truck with 2.56s and it was a DOG and go awful mileage. I like my engines to not have to work so hard vs lugging all the time. Small blocks get 3.42s-4.10s depending on the rest of the drivetrain, LS stuff gets 3.73-4.56 depending on the drivetrain (talking 2wd street tire'd stuff) for me. They're much happier and get better mileage that way in my experience

No worse than the "Im gonna fix it up one day" guys that can't get off the couch or internet to actually accomplish anything but somehow find the time to tell everybody else what theyre doing wrong

Your truck looks great with them. But it also looked great without them too. I'm no help, lol.

I'm partial to them and yours are much nicer than mine. Sort of a faux pushbar kind of thing for moving stubborn things around.

Yup I used to hang an old tire on one, on our square body Burb (IIRC it was the 79 that had these) to push cars around on our property. They were also good for hanging a plastic bag (like the grocery store or Marty Wal ones with handles/loops) over, to put trash from oil changes or other repairs, or from cleaning it up. Once you get a couple things in the bag, it won't blow off.

Got a random question, where did you get the 377 emblem?

Speedway motors had a pair of Camaro 307 fender emblems on clearance for around $15 IIRC. Since the 3 and the 7's had a stud I cut em apart, threaded the studs and made a little plate to mount em to, then mounted that to the grille.

Cool, reason I ask is I have 3d printed a few badges and I drew up a 307 but kind of made it up based on the style. @hoagster bought one of them for his build.
