Honestly, the OPs truck looks level though. This would be a good cheap easily reversible option if he decides to not also lift the rear or doesn’t want the draggin @ss look.

Well, it's actually a 2 wheel drive C20 Camper Special like mine. I don't want to lift it to look like a 4x4 like that guy did. I probably shouldn't have sent that since it's like apples and oranges. Perhaps I'll mockup mine with just a touch of lift. That way I can make sure I'm not crazy - or you guys can confirm that I am

Okay, I photoshopped it up using those 10" wheels on that red truck. The promotions might not be totally right.

I think you guys might be right about my current height up front. And probably springs aren't going to do it. I'll just get those bags, and with the wheels on, perhaps just add only a touch. I don't want to go above level for sure, but I thought that by looks alone, the front was an inch Lower than the rear.

Thanks for that- I was convinced with the lack of hubs that it had to be a mislabeled C truck. Stock hubs couldn't fit under those caps. Maybe there's modern automatic hubs that people convert to- I don't know anything about that world.

I’ve got a 82 C20 that I rebuilt the front end with new moog components including the coils springs, I was shocked at how much higher the front sits now! So many people think it’s four wheel drive now. Before & after pics attached

3/4 tons in the 70’s that had the full-time 203 transfer case had front hubcaps that didn’t have holes in them because they didn’t come with lockout hubs. The hubs didn’t protrude out as far, so they fit behind hubcaps without needing a hole in them.

I'm pretty sure they had the holes in the caps still? The drive slug cap was somewhat flush with the hubcap, maybe protruding slightly. There's probably enough give in the regular hubcap that you can pop it on over the hub anyway.

Depends on the series.....my 75K20 was "full" time and had full cover hub caps..............."full time " is such a lie.....if you didn't have some kind of limited slip all you had was ONE wheel drive, unless you were in lock!

73-76 (not sure about later years) 3/4 tons with the 203 transfer case had drive flanges instead of protruding slug caps. Now that you mention it, I do think I have seen later 70’s 3/4 tons with the holes in the front hubcaps with the drive slug that is basically flush with the hubcap. One of my good friends in high school had a 75 3/4 ton with the 203 with drive flanges and no holes in the front hubcaps.

Yep, I forgot all about the earlier hub design. Doh! But I remember a '78 yard truck we had at the junkyard that had the "holey" hubcaps, lol.

It's been so long. 70s K20's are a very rare sight around here anymore, let alone one that hasn't had locking hubs installed. Although I did look at a '74 for sale recently. It's an oddball with a 465/203 combo and never had locking hubs installed.

I had heard that 203’s were available with 4 speeds early on, but have never actually seen one in person. You should have bought it just because it was odd and rare. Haha.

Wow that really is exactly the amount of lift I'm wanting in the front. Do you remember which Moog springs you used? Other elements may make our results different, but it might be worth me trying nevertheless.

Hi guys, I realize this thread started with the front lift question, and it's also now covering front hubs (and I'm enjoying learning about that- wouldn't mind a 4x4 Camper Special one day!

I thought I'd run this wheel fitment by you guys. Sadly I can't test fit them, as they are a special order. I plan to use the same 305/70R16 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/As (E Load Rating) as that red truck in the photo. That offset looks right to me, but you guys might know better?

The photo of the wheel doesn't represent its size/width, but the specs to the right is what I'm concerned about.
