We are less than a week away and I believe my '87 is ready. I will probably find several more things I need to do to it before we leave but for now it is solid.

I am trying to decide if I am going to even bother with the camera this year. Frankly carrying a camera and a phone is a pain and the threads in this section don't get as many views as I thought they would so it may not be worth the trouble.

Anyone else planning to attend this year?

Can't myself, but maybe one year. It seems like fun. I do enjoy seeing pics, even just the phone. You had over 50 replies last year, I'm following. Regardless, enjoy!!!

Just got home. Been a heck of a week. The Truck did really well, zero issues. It needs some work and that becomes evident when you drive it every day for 9 days straight but it never missed a beat and it did get a decent amount of attention.

And a few from Gulfport the first Sunday. There was a lot of rain that day so there were less than half of the normal number of vehicles.

And The Trans Am was driven in the rain for the very first time ever. I was NOT happy.

I tried to limit my picture taking to Square Body trucks since that is what this forum is mostly focused on but I had to snap a few of other things as well.

I wanted to "talk" a little bit about the Square Body trucks there this year. As I have posted before I am a Dinosaur and I like to see these trucks look like they did back when they were new. I am not now and have never been a fan of lowered trucks in general, nor do I want a truck that is jacked up to the moon and requiring a ladder to get in and out of it.

HOWEVER!!! I fully support the choices each of you folks make with your own trucks and I do appreciate the craftsmanship, the work, the money, the total effort that goes into whatever we all drive to the table. Hopefully I took a few pics for all of us on this forum and I sincerely hope you all get to see something on here that you like or something that gives you a build idea.

This year the number of square body trucks was waaaaay up there. There were 10,334 vehicles from 1989 or previous. I have no way of knowing how many of those were square body trucks but this was by far the most I have ever seen there. And the quality...oh my, the quality was overall excellent. This was a wonderful event and I wish I could have shared it with every one of you on this forum.

Please enjoy these pics, I took a lot of extra time to get these for you folks. And I was in sensory overload from being surrounded by over 10,000 classic vehicles in the best rolling, running car show ever.

I loved this setup. For those that cannot zoom in, the front plate on the red and gray truck says, "Reagan/Bush '84"

A rare but interesting color combination. Mrs. Redfish saw this pic and started making noises about how The '87 would look with that setup. Hmmm.

How about a mid engine Chevy Luv? Let's all take a moment to curse my stupid camera for the blurry pic...

Do y'all see some value here that I am missing? Or is this truck actually worth this much?
