60 days in on my 90 day rebuild. Goin to try a motor upgrade next. Any advice on going from a 350 to a 454?

I have a turbo 400 transmission.
I was hoping for some opinions on doing a wood bed? I know its not an 80s thing. Just wanted to add something different. Rhino the sides with black and then walnut stained southern yellow pine on the bed with stainless steel in the seems

The wood floor beds are awesome. In my opinion, I would use a hardwood like white Oak. I've owned a few and the hardwood held up fine. Had an old Ford step side with a pine floor and it rotted rather quickly. Use boiled linseed oil to help preserve.

Eh. Depends on the application and use. And also the health of said TH350.
If you want reliability, you should go with a turbo 400. The turbo 350 was never intended to handle big-block torque.

Stock for stock, sure. Heavy truck with lots of towing or hauling, sure. But a well built TH350 behind a mild big block in a steet-driven 2wd "just for fun" truck is plenty reliable.
