I'm trying to fix some dash lights or track down a wiring problem to them and I took my gauge cluster bezel off and found this under a blank area bottom left corner. My rig doesn't have AC so it's a bit odd.

Not much to talk about or really discuss but I wanted to show it.

Do you have dash vents? What's the location of the heater core inlet and outlet?

Hmm verrrry strange lol. You definitely have a non a/c truck. Maybe someone really wanted that side vent?! That pocket is there on all the dashes as far as I'm aware.

That had to have made the bezel bow out right?

Was the vent connected to anything? Was the vent just laying behind the metal dash structure?

You bezel is the typical non a/c type that not cut out in the vent area?

That’s a really cool find, especially if somehow left there from during assembly.

Very well may have been an assembly line goof. Someone might've been doing A/C trucks all day so absent-mindedly installed that. Rather than take the extra time to pull it back out, they just stuck the non-A/C bezel over it. That kinda stuff happened alot

It did not. The screws went through the dash and the vent was attached with the screws on the backside of the metal.

Nope nothing connected. Just an open tube.

Yes the vent is not cut out in the bezel.

I'm wondering if it's because it's a 91 and they were just using up some leftovers?

I'd have to agree probably just a **** up in the assembly line like the Chevy with GMC fender badges and vis versa.
