I have ordered a FI tank, and it should be here soon. My last problem is the Hydraulic clutch system. If anyone here has delt with that, chime in.

I looked quickly and did not find a swap bracket to make things super easy, but I would attempt to use the F-body clutch master with a factory Chevy II clutch pedal.

Almost done waiting for all the parts from Full Tilt street rods. These are all for the rearend, so disc brake, backing plate, calipers, ford 9" housing and pumpkin. Gears are 3.88 called 3.90. Axles are 31 spline, flange to flange width is 56 1/4 I believe. Don't want to tub now, but hope to be able to fit a 10 inch tire. Now I just have to paint everything. The axles came with 7/16 studs, probably will replace with 1/2 inch, which is required for some racing venues I am interested in. FYI all the break stuff is Explorer stuff so easy to find replacements.

Got out all the parts that I wanted to paint, and began prep, deburr, sand, clean, etc. To windy today, but they are ready to go.

Need to buy some caliper and disk high temperature spray finish spraying those two part then I’m basically ready to get that nova up in the air and install the front and the rear end. Might do that next just to get these parts out of the way then also to I can paint all the frame connectors and other things that need to be added on. Unfortunately, I’m going to have to grind off the paint on my rear end where the shock mounts and etc. oh well it’s easy to do again.

Well, it has started. I finally dug the nova out of the corner of the shop and started yesterday on dismantling the front end. Got it off. Got everything out underneath just have a couple small holes in the pan on the passenger side easy fix everything else is pretty good. Here’s some pictures to show the progress right now. I’m just going to clean and paint the engine compartment before I put the front end on. I sure hope Perry is happy with me.

I had previously done most of the bodywork. My goal is just to preserve what’s there stop the rust paint everything. I will rinoline after painting underneath for protection.

The goal today is to finish removing the undercoating and rough up the paint enough for my epoxy primer to stick on. There’s a lot of little nooks and crannies in the nova that are harder than heck to get to to clean them up and I’m fussy about stuff like that, but I will take my time and maybe if it takes all day that’s OK but I want it clean. I like a nice clean engine compartment. I will show my progress at the end of the day.
