My grandpa had these in every car he owned when i was growin up, never undestood them...i classify them in the same catagory as saddle blankets.... ugly and ill never buy them lol

I do not! Grew up sittin on a nasty ugly red one with the leather center patch that had a deer on it. Hated it! Its a runnin joke with Annie cus she always tells me shes buying me one.

Fun fact: that ugly saddle blanket still resides in my dads 73 c10.

Well how’d it turn out?

I finally got it installed and it works and functions as expected, the same as back in the day. It is comfortable and presents a nostalgic look. I have been using the cover for about two weeks and it has stayed in place and does not move at all when I enter and exit the bench seat. It's a good conversation piece.

Remember when round wood bead seat covers were the craze back in the 70's? I started thinking about them and wondered if they could work on a bench seat. A quick search revealed that there are a lot of them still being offered. While browsing the best UTV accessories, I started wondering about older comfort accessories like these. The issue is that they are designed for bucket seats. I did find one that looks like it would fit nicely on a bench seat, but the seller claimed it was for a bucket seat because of the elastic band to hold it in place. Are any of you using one of these, and how does it work for you? The one in the picture is $36.00 for two with free shipping. The width, which didn't show up in the picture, is 16".

I've used them before, and they can work on a bench seat, but they're usually a better fit for bucket seats. A 16-inch-wide cover will leave a lot of the bench uncovered, so it may slide around unless it's secured well. They do help with airflow and can make long drives more comfortable, especially in hot weather. For $36 for two, they're inexpensive enough to try, but I'd expect the fit to be less than ideal on a full bench seat.

I had four straps sewn on and it doesn’t move at all when I enter or exit. The device would probably be more effective on leather or vinyl seats. My AC works well and the seat is comfortable but I like the nostalgia look the best.
