No rain since June. That's crazy. I've never seen anything like that in Ohio. Not that long.

Mine was the same way. I wire wheeled it off. Just put some tape around outside to help protect what you don’t want to get. Then clean off and wipe down with acetone. Then paint with a self etching paint

I wired wheeled it. Did the por 15 kit. Degreaser, prep then the por paint. But did a poor job of " the light coat " . Kinda thick. Only put one coat on it got dark on me and the weather went down. Fighting the sun. I'll add another coat tomorrow. Throwing a Tarp and weld blanket over it tonight.

Update. Doesn't leak. Success. On to the next old part somewhere. Lol.
