My 1977 K10 4x4 Suburban Silverado came factory equipped with 3.73 gears, 203 TC, 400 SB and a T350 transmission.
It could break the tires loose a bit with hard acceleration but, was a full time 4x4.
I drove it til the wheels come off and then I put BFG 33/12.50's tires and bigger wheels on it.
I did an Advance Adapters part time conversion in the transfer case in 1979. Then it performed like a 2 wheel drive V8.
The Husky Selectro hubs helped out with that. Never had any problems with the transmission and the later years I used it to push a 8.5' Western Pro plow with it!
