Replacing the speedo cable on my 1980 k20. There's a nut on one end of the new cable about an inch from the end and nothing on the other end. I am guessing that the nut end would be on the instrument panel end of the cable so that the cable can be pulled out from the housing for lubrication, etc., when the speedometer is removed. But then, the opposite could be true as well. Looks like it might work either way. Which way is correct?
